  • This scholarship is for high school students, enrolling in a 2- or 4-year college or university for study related to the water environment profession.
  • Applicant must be a high school senior from Colorado, Wyoming or New Mexico in good standing, who has applied to a college or university with the interest of pursuing an environmental career. 
  • The student winner must show proof of enrollment in the environmental related program at the college or university for fall 2011 to receive a scholarship check.

ESA Foundation Scholarship

You must be one of the following:

  • A senior high school student who will be an incoming college freshman student with a minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00
    scale, OR a minimum score of ACT 22 OR SAT [verbal / critical reading and math] 1030 OR GPA designated by
    specific scholarship;
  • A College student presently enrolled in an accredited college or university who has maintained a “B” average [3.00
    GPA on a 4.00 scale] during his / her college career OR GPA designated by specific scholarship;
  • A College student applying for graduate scholarships must have GPA of 3.50 on 4.00 scale or higher and enrolled in a
    US accredited college or university.
  • Enrolled for training in a technical school or any person returning to school after an absence to retrain job skills or

Wyoming Auctioneers Association Scholarship
  • A person who has graduated or will be graduating from an accredited Wyoming High School or have completed the past year at a qualified University or school of higher education.
  • A person who is seriously motivated to attend and graduate from an institution of higher learning.
  • A resident of the State of Wyoming.
  • A person who has achieved a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 of higher.
  • Relatives of an active WAA member in good standing that has or will be graduating from an
    accredited High School or have completed the past year at a qualified University or school or higher education may be given preferential consideration.

  • Family must be a current Wyoming Farm Bureau Organization member.

Wyoming Wool Growers Scholarship
  • Applicants must be a Wyoming resident and have lived in their attendance area their entire high school Senior year. Applicants may be students currently attending a qualified post high school institution.
  • Scholarships are available for students planning to attend any college, university or accredited trade school program. Scholarships are not available for correspondence courses.

Society of Women Engineers
  • Must be currently enrolled as a high school senior in Wyoming or Colorado. 
  • Must be ranked in the top 25% of her class, and have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. 
  • Must be a woman who intends to major an ABET accredited engineering, computing, or engineering technology program. 
  • Must be able to accept the scholarship for the coming academic year starting in the Fall, and must not be receiving full funding from another organization.
January 31, 2012 A minimum of $500.
Wyoming Mountain Mensa Scholarship
  • The only eligibility requirements are that the applicant be enrolled for the academic year following the award, in a degree program in an accredited American Institute of post-secondary education
  • Be a resident of the area of a participating local group of American Mensa.

Wyoming Trucking Association Scholarship

To qualify, student must;

1.  Be a graduate of a Wyoming high school.

2.  Plan to pursue a course of study which will lead to a career in the Highway Transportation Industry with the following approved courses of study: business management, computer skills, accounting, office procedures and management, safety, diesel mechanics and truck driving. 

3.  Attend a Wyoming school approved by the WTA Scholarship committee.

  • Graduating high school senior in a Wyoming Recreation and Parks Association community.

KFC Colonel's Scholars Program
  • Graduate from high school this academic year (between 12/1/11 and 8/31/12)
  • Earn a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.75
  • Plan to pursue a bachelor's degree at a public, in-state college or university (start date no later than 9/30/12)
  • Be a US citizen or permanent resident
  • Demonstrate financial need
Application opens December 1, 2011 and closes February 9, 2012 Award can be up to $5000 per year.
Mensa Education and Research Foundation Local Scholarship Program
  • The applicant must currently be a resident of a participating American Mensa Local Group's area.
  • The applicant must be enrolled in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning during the academic year following the application date.
  • The applicant must submit an application and essay explaining his or her career, academic and/or vocational goals.
Scholarship opens September 15 and closes January 15  
Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship
  • Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply.
  • Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
  • College students are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
  • Male and female students compete separately.
December 2, 2011 Ranges from $1000 to $15000 per year.
Elks Legacy Award
  • Are you the child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2009, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2009? Your Elk sponsor must also be a paid-up member through March 31, 2012. Great-grandchildren are not eligible.
  • Are you a high school senior?
  • If your parent and grandparent are both Elk members, you should apply through the parent's Elks Lodge.
  • Are you planning to attend an accredited U.S. school, college or university? (Note: Applicants from Guam, Panama, Puerto Rico and the Philippines may apply Legacy Awards toward schools, colleges or universities in their respective homes.)

To apply for an RMHC scholarship, a student must:

  • Be a high school senior
  • Be younger than 21 years old

  • Live in a participating RMHC Chapter’s geographic area
  • Submit a complete application and all required documentation by the deadline on the application
