These Are Some of My Favorite Math Web Sites
May 11, 2009
This is my favorite website for virtual manipulatives. You can search by mathematical strand, by grade level, or just browse. There are instructions for use of each of the manipulatives. Trust me...these aren't just for kids...it is easy to get hooked on the tangrams and many others! Give them a try! National Library of Virtual Manipulatives
This is another great site for manipulatives. This site is great for intermediate and middle school students. One thing I really like about it is the ability to adjust the difficulty of many of the activities. I also like being able to team kids to work on some of the activities and games. The kids love it. (I have fun there, too!) Shodor Interactivate Activities
More great activities can be found on the NCTMÂ Illuminations website. This site has activities, lessons, applets, and background information for teachers. You can search by mathematical strand or grade level. This is another site that shouldn't be missed! NCTM Illuminations
|
This website was sent to me by another teacher. It is full of elementary math game links. They are grouped by math strand to make it easier for specific types of practice! There is something here for everyone! |
Of course I must include a cool math website that is full of games and activities for all ages and abilities. There is something here for everyone! Cool Math
Funbrain is a great website for kids. There are lots of learning games here. You can search by grade level and subject, or choose the arcade and a difficulty level. Funbrain
Need to practice some basic math facts? Then you need to check out this flash card site. A Plus Math Flash Cards
A Plus Math is a great site that has more than just flash cards. There are games, a homework helper, and you can even make and print practice papers! A Plus Math
Are you in middle school or high school and you need some help with Algebra? This site has an algebra tutor! It gets harder and harder and teaches you how to solve algebra equations. Check it out! The Ms Lindquist Algebra Tutor
There are some algebra sites out there for the little ones, too! This site is all about patterns. It would be fun to use from the teacher's computer with the whole class, but it can be used by a single student, too. Patterns in Mathematics
This is a selection of resources from the National Science Digital Library. It contains more links to many different math topics for middle school teachers. There are some great resources to be found here! Mathematics Pathway
