Supporting Student Literacy
Read to them. Read a magazine, newspaper or book with the student. Compare thoughts. Each of you can talk about what you were thinking and visualizing as you read the material. Notice how each of you organizes thoughts and makes connections. Compare your reading strategies and explain to each other how the reading strategies help comprehension.
